When it comes to Maryland dispensaries and COVID-19, parking lot deliveries are providing a safer way for patients to get their medical marijuana during quarantine.
In fact, The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission has recently authorized dispensaries to take phone orders and deliver to patients “in a vehicle parked in the dispensary’s parking lot.”
How it Works
If you have a condition that qualifies you for a medical marijuana prescription, the first thing you have to do is to place a call to your local, Maryland-licensed dispensary.
Your local Maryland-licensed dispensary will then provide you with instructions for parking lot delivery at their site.
Be sure to bring proper identification to for your dispensary employee to review before they can provide you with your prescription.
Parking Lot vs. Walk in Business
While dispensaries are not banned from offering walk-in services, parking lot deliveries offer a safer way to adhere to the social distancing rules in effect due to COVID-19.
With that in mind, The MMCC is strongly urging patients to utilize their local dispensary parking lot delivery services in order to flatten the curve.
